The fortress is considered to be one of the most impressive in Upper Austria. It was first mentioned in 1305, but it seems to be much older than that. Especially the Easter market inside the castle walls is an annual true highlight.

Visit the town and also the region’s biggest valley with its little streets, the beautiful market place, which offer a lot of fascinating cultural features. From here you can start your tour on the museum road.
